The Technology team is responsible for the product specification, design, and development of features and functionality of GOOD.is, the company's website.

Position and Responsibilities

GOOD is looking for an experienced, creative, and ambitious PHP Web Developer with strong PHP skills and the ability to work with design and front-end development to create cutting-edge web applications.

The PHP Web Developer will develop web applications under the guidance of the LAMP Web Architect and work directly with the product director, front-end engineers, and other back-end engineers. The main focus of this role will be on new development.

Experience

Degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years of related experience with mentioned web applications and technologies
Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of software projects requiring detailed analysis, creative and practical problem solving, and sound judgment based on user experience
Experience working within organizations with advertising-based revenue models

Skills and Abilities

Excellent skill with PHP as an object-oriented language
Understanding of creating AJAX-styled applications with PHP
Ability to interface with existing APIs (i.e. Google Maps, Twitter API, DIGG API)
Working knowledge of WordPress, especially themes and plugins
Working knowledge of XML
Experience with optimizing performance using Apache configuration, Memcached
Practical experience with SVN or CVS
