Upworthy and GOOD Announce Merger, Join Forces To Become the Leader in Social Good Media

Upworthy, a mission-driven media company, and GOOD Worldwide Inc., a global media brand and social impact company, today announced a merger that positions the new entity as the leader in social good media and consulting.

 

Upworthy and GOOD are uniquely positioned to help individuals, organizations, and brands drive progress. Together, the two companies reach over 276 million people on Facebook, garner billions of video views annually, and receive a combined 31 million unique visitors per month to their websites (ComScore, November 2016). They create content, provide consulting, strategy, and partnerships for some of the biggest and most innovative brands in the world, including Airbnb, Facebook, Google, PayPal, P&G, Starbucks, and the United Nations Foundation.

After the merger, Upworthy will join the GOOD Worldwide Inc. (“GOOD”) parent company. Upworthy and GOOD will continue to operate as standalone brands and will retain their brand names. Ben Goldhirsh and Max Schorr will remain co-CEOs of GOOD Worldwide Inc and Eli Pariser will join as President.
