Whole Foods Market® and GOOD Partner on Food Education

"What We Eat" Program includes web, magazine, and video rollout

Los Angeles (November 17, 2009) — GOOD, the integrated media company for people who want to live well and do good, has partnered with Whole Foods Market to develop "What We Eat," a program looking at food: where it comes from, what’s in it, and what choices one can make to ensure one is eating as well as possible.

Expanding on its existing content verticals, GOOD launched a new online series distributing an 8-part collection of infographics and videos to create awareness and interest in all things food. The partnership between GOOD and Whole Foods Market strives to change the way the world looks at food and what we put in our bodies on a daily basis. In a true collaborative effort, Whole Foods Market is providing data for the infographic series and working with GOOD editorial to develop content topics.

“How we produce and consume food is such a critical component of our ecosystem, GOOD is excited to launch a specific category focused on this area,” commented Craig Shapiro, president of GOOD. “We are flattered to have Whole Foods Market as a key partner in this effort. Their brand and leadership have helped define the issues of food sustainability and health and we couldn’t be happier to collaborate.”

“From what makes a nutritious school lunch to when specific fruits and vegetables are in season, Whole Foods Market is committed to healthy eating education,” said Bill Tolany, global coordinator of integrated media for Whole Foods Market. We’re thrilled to be working with GOOD on such exciting and important content.”

The partnership between GOOD and Whole Foods Market provides relevant content to the site’s more than two million unique monthly visitors and 230,000 magazine readers. All of this exclusive content can be seen at http://www.good.is/series/what-we-eat.
